About

Ben Brooks joined Humphreys, McLaughlin & McAleer, LLC as a partner in 2026. Based in Frederick, MD, Ben focuses his practice on the defense of Maryland employers and insurers in workers' compensation matters throughout the state. Drawing on over a decade of experience, including a significant portion of his career representing claimants, Ben brings a practical perspective to the defense of each claim. As a seasoned litigator, Ben has appeared in hundreds of hearings before the Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission and has handled numerous workers' compensation matters through virtually every stage of the litigation of process, from initial claim investigation through contested hearings and appeals.

As a lifelong Maryland resident, Ben graduated with honors from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2015 and has spent his entire legal career practicing in Maryland. He enjoys spending time with family in his downtown Frederick, Maryland home.
